Quick search and shortcuts
Press Cmd K, or Ctrl K on Windows, from anywhere. A search box opens over the page. Press it again, or press Esc, to close. You can also click the search box in the top bar.
With the box empty you get a jump list. Every page in your navigation, grouped exactly the way the sidebar groups them, so you can reach Landing Pages or Sales Analytics without expanding anything.
Start typing and it searches your actual records. From two characters onwards it looks across eight things at once and returns up to five of each:
- Products, by title, with the product type underneath.
- Offers, by title, with the price underneath.
- Leads, by name or by email address.
- Media, by original file name, with the file kind underneath.
- Pages, by title, opening straight into the editor.
- Campaigns, by name, with the campaign type underneath.
- Tags, by name.
- Lists, by name.
Nav matches keep showing alongside the record matches, so typing "email" gives you both the Email Campaigns page and any campaign with email in its name.
Drive it from the keyboard. Arrow down and arrow up move the selection, Enter opens it. You never need the mouse.
Search only ever returns your own records. It is scoped to your account, so nothing belonging to anyone else can appear.
The bell is separate. Click the bell in the top bar for your notifications panel. A dot on the bell means you have unread items, and the count sits next to the panel title.
The panel has two tabs, All and Unread, and groups items into New, Yesterday, Earlier this week and Older. Each item shows an icon for its type, a title, a detail line and a relative time.
Clicking a notification marks it read and takes you to it. Mark all read clears the badge in one go. When there is nothing left you get a caught up message.
New leads, sales, campaign activity and system notices all feed this panel, and the same events feed the Recent activity list on your dashboard. See The dashboard explained. To choose which of these also reach you by email, see Your account settings.
