Product pricing
Open your product and click the Pricing tab. Everything about money for that product lives there.
First, connect a payment account. Until you connect Stripe or PayPal under Sales → Payments, the Pricing tab says so and no checkout link exists. Subscriptions need Stripe. PayPal handles one-time purchases only.
Turn on Sell this product. With that toggle off the product is free, and the only ways in are a manual grant or a community placement. See Giving and revoking access.
Choose how it is charged.
- One-time purchase charges once and buyers keep access.
- Subscription bills on repeat, and access lasts while the subscription is active.
Subscriptions add three fields. Billing interval (week, month, quarter, six months or year), free trial days up to 90 where 0 means no trial, and an optional trial fee charged upfront to start the trial. Leave the trial fee blank for a genuinely free trial.
Set the price and currency. The currency list covers what your connected processor can actually charge. Two optional fields sit underneath:
- Compare-at price shows crossed out and must be higher than the price.
- Tax rate override replaces your account tax rate for this product only, which is useful when ebooks carry a reduced rate.
A checkout link appears once the product is buyable. That means published, selling turned on, a price above zero, and a connected processor that can handle it. The link is shown with a Copy button. Without a connected domain the tab tells you that instead.
Pick which cart frames the checkout. The Checkout cart panel pins one of your carts to this product, or leaves it on your default. Cart designs and colours are edited under Sales → Checkout.
Two things are fixed. A Lead Magnet is always free, and its Pricing tab says so rather than offering fields. And to sell several products behind one price, build an Offer under Products → Offers instead of pricing each item separately.
