Creating your first product

Updated August 17, 2026

Every product starts the same way. Go to Products → Create Product in the sidebar, or open Products → All Products and click New product.

Step 1 asks "What do you want to create?" Pick one of the eight product types. Each card lists what that type does before you commit:

  • Course for structured modules and lessons with progress tracking and drip.
  • Ebook for a single PDF that members read in the browser.
  • Download for a bundle of files of any type.
  • Podcast for a private, members-only audio feed.
  • Coaching for session-based work with your clients.
  • Community for a feed where members post and talk to each other.
  • Newsletter for a paid or members-only publication.
  • Lead Magnet for a free giveaway in exchange for an email. This one can never be priced.

Click Get Started on the type you want.

Step 2 collects the details. Give the product a title and an optional description, then pick a thumbnail from your media library and set its theme and accent colours. For Ebook, Download and Lead Magnet you can attach files right here. An ebook takes one PDF, the other two take up to twenty files.

Every new product is created as a draft. Nothing reaches members until you press Publish in the product header. Draft is the safe place to build.

Some types set themselves up for you. Creating a Community product also creates the community it delivers. Creating a Newsletter product creates the publication plus its subscriber list. Creating a Course also generates companion landing and opt-in pages and a draft email broadcast, so you are not starting from a blank page.

Then keep going by type. Courses open on the Outline tab, file products on Files, podcasts on Episodes, coaching on Sessions. Set money on the Pricing tab and let people in from the Customers tab.
