Email templates and saved sections

Updated August 17, 2026

Templates save you the blank page. Inside the email builder, click Templates in the top toolbar to open the "Start with a template" gallery.

The built-in gallery ships eighteen layouts, grouped into four categories:

  • Lifecycle: Welcome, Personalized welcome, Re-engagement, Members-only update, Feedback request, Event invite, Make a referral.
  • Newsletter: Newsletter, Simple announcement, Share a blog post, Share knowledge.
  • Sales: Product launch, Flash sale, Abandoned cart, Showcase product, VIP early access, plus a plain Simple text starter.
  • Transactional: Order receipt.

Pick one and press Use template to drop it onto the canvas. Start from scratch clears back to an empty email.

Saving your own template. Once you have an email you are happy with, open the gallery and choose Save current as template. Give it a name and, if you want, a category. It is stored under Saved and appears in the gallery alongside the built-in ones, ready for the next email. Your templates are private to your workspace.

Saved sections are the smaller version. Rather than keeping a whole email, you can keep one block. Select a block on the canvas and click Save section, then name it. It shows up in two places: under Saved blocks in the block palette, and in the Your sections panel, so you can drop it into any email.

This is the practical way to keep a signature, a testimonial card, a footer note or a promo banner consistent across everything you send, without rebuilding it each time.

Both modes are supported. A template remembers whether it was built in Visual or Simple text mode, and loading it switches the editor accordingly.

Deleting. Your own templates and saved sections can be removed from the gallery and the palette. Deleting one never touches emails you already built from it, those keep their content.

A note on the footer. Whatever template you start from, the compliance footer with your business address and the unsubscribe link is added at send time and cannot be removed. Fill your address in under Settings, then Marketing, so it reads correctly. See Keeping your emails out of the spam folder.
