How forms on your pages capture leads
Add a Form block to a page in the page builder and every submission becomes a contact in your workspace. Opt-in steps inside funnels capture the same way.
How fields map. The block reads your fields by type. The first email field becomes the contact's Email, the first phone field becomes Phone, and the first plain text field becomes Name. Everything else you add, dropdowns, radio buttons, checkbox groups, dates and extra text fields, is stored on the contact as a custom field named after its label.
The page has to be live. Submissions are only accepted on a published page served from a connected domain. A draft page will not capture anything. A hidden honeypot field silently absorbs bot submissions.
What gets recorded. Alongside the fields you asked for, each submission stamps the consent time and IP, sets Source to the page slug, remembers which page it came from, and captures up to five UTM values (source, medium, campaign, content and term) if they were on the URL. A funnel step records its funnel slug instead.
Single opt-in is the default. Out of the box a new contact becomes Subscribed the moment they submit, and they can receive your campaigns straight away.
Double opt-in is one setting. Go to Settings, then Marketing, and tick Require email confirmation (double opt-in). With it on, a new subscriber from any form or funnel lands as Pending confirmation, receives a confirmation email, and only becomes Subscribed when they click the link. Campaigns never reach a pending contact, so the Pending tab on the Contacts list is worth watching.
A few sensible guards apply. Someone already Subscribed is never knocked back to Pending. Addresses that previously bounced or complained are not re-pended. Someone who unsubscribed and then submits again is re-pended, which is a legitimate fresh opt-in. Repeat submissions do not spam a confirmation out again, there is a resend throttle, and confirmations never go to a suppressed address.
Where submissions land. Every capture is a normal contact, searchable in the list and openable as a contact profile, where the activity timeline records "Submitted a form". Tag them on the way in, group them with tags and lists, or let a form submission start an automation.
