Finding your way around the Contacts list

Updated August 17, 2026

Your contacts live under Contacts, then All Contacts in the left navigation. Everyone who signed up through a form, was imported from a file, or was added by hand appears in this one list.

The tab strip is your first filter. Six tabs sit above the rows, each carrying a live count:

  • All, everyone in your workspace.
  • Customers, contacts whose lifecycle status is Customer.
  • Subscribed, contacts who can receive marketing email.
  • Pending, people who were asked to confirm their address and have not clicked yet. See How forms on your pages capture leads.
  • Inactive, no recorded activity for more than 90 days.
  • Bounced, addresses that failed delivery.

The counts respect whatever you have typed in the search box, so the badges always match the rows on screen.

Search covers name, email and phone. Type into the search field and press Enter. Next to it, the Sort button opens a small panel with five choices: Recently added, Recent activity, A to Z name, Z to A name, and Date added (oldest).

What the columns mean. Each row shows an avatar, then Name and email, Tags, Status and Last activity.

  • The coloured dot beside the email address is the marketing status: green for Subscribed, purple for Pending confirmation, grey for Unconfirmed, amber for Unsubscribed, red for Bounced or Spam.
  • Tags shows up to three tags. See Tags and lists, and when to use each.
  • Status is the lifecycle badge, either Lead or Customer.
  • Last activity is a relative time, updated whenever the contact does something you track.

At the foot of the list you can change how many rows you see: 25, 50, 75 or 100.

Bulk actions. Tick the checkboxes on the rows you want, or the checkbox in the header row to select everything visible. A dark bar slides up from the bottom with three actions: Add tag, Set status (Subscribed, Unsubscribed or Bounced) and Delete. Deleting asks you to confirm first.

Adding one by hand. The Add contact button opens a short form: Email (required), Name, Phone, and Marketing status. Save and you land straight on the new contact profile.
