Uploading and organising media

Updated August 17, 2026

Media Library in the sidebar (/account/media) holds every file you upload. Upload once, reuse everywhere.

Uploading. Click Upload media. The dialog shows a drop zone reading "Drop files here or click to upload". You can drop several files at once, or click to browse. Each file uploads with its own progress row, and you can keep dropping while others finish. Click Done when you are finished.

What you can upload. Four kinds, and the tabs across the toolbar match them:

  • Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG and AVIF.
  • Videos: MP4, WebM and QuickTime (MOV).
  • Audio: MP3.
  • Files: PDF.

Anything else is rejected. There is a per-file size cap as well as an overall allowance, covered in Storage and deleting files.

Finding files. The toolbar gives you several tools that stack:

  • Tabs: All, Images, Videos, Audio, Files.
  • Search media…, which narrows the files shown on the page you are looking at by name.
  • Filter, which opens a panel with Extension (only the extensions you have actually uploaded), Tags and Lists. Click Apply filters, or Clear to reset. A badge on the button counts the active filters.
  • Sortable columns: click Title, Type, Size or Created to sort, and click again to reverse.

Tags and lists. These are the two ways to group files, and they are shared with other parts of your workspace. Open a row's "…" menu and choose Edit tags or Add to list. The dialog lets you tick existing ones or type a new name into Create a tag… or Create a list… and add it on the spot. Tagged files can then be filtered from the toolbar. Manage the full sets under More → Tags and More → Lists.

The asset page. Click any row to open the file's own screen. It shows a full preview, its tags and lists side by side, and an Info panel with Created, Last updated, Type, Extension, Size and, for images, Dimensions. The actions menu there offers Edit name, Download and Delete file.

Renaming. Edit name changes the display name only. The file's underlying address never changes, so renaming can never break a page that already uses it.

Next: Using media across the workspace.
