Processing fees explained
When your clients' customers pay them, through the client's own connected Stripe, a small processing fee applies to the transaction. It is collected automatically as part of the payment, so there is nothing to invoice or reconcile by hand.
Where it shows up. Clients see a note about the fee on their payments settings page. In their orders, amounts are recorded together with the fee applied at the time of the charge, so historical reporting stays accurate even if the rate changes later.
What it is for. The fee funds the payment infrastructure underneath every checkout: the provider integrations, webhooks, receipts, invoicing and the billing engineering that keeps money moving safely.
What it is not. It is not a share of your platform subscription revenue. What your clients pay you for access to your platform is yours.
The current rate is shown to clients where the fee applies. If you have questions about it for your specific setup, ask us; see Contacting support.
