Email sending and deliverability
Deliverability is mostly setup plus habits. The platform handles the infrastructure; here is what actually moves the needle.
Sending identity. Every client sends from a proper identity, name and address, resolved consistently across campaigns, automations and system mail.
Authenticate the sending domain. The single biggest win: authenticating the client's own domain for sending, so mail is signed as genuinely theirs. The domain settings screen shows the DNS records to add. Until then, sending still works, but authenticated domains inbox better.
Habits that protect reputation
- Use double opt-in for cold sources; see the option in Marketing settings.
- Never import a purchased list. Bounces and spam complaints follow, and the platform pauses reputational damage aggressively, which slows real sending too.
- Keep a regular cadence rather than long silence followed by a blast.
- Make unsubscribing easy; it is automatic on every marketing email and fighting it only converts unsubscribes into spam complaints.
Suppression. Hard bounces, complaints and unsubscribes are suppressed automatically and skipped by future sends, protecting the client's reputation without them thinking about it.
If a client's open rates collapse suddenly, check for a recent import, then contact support with the campaign in question.
