Connecting Claude to a workspace

Updated August 17, 2026

Client workspaces can connect to Claude, the AI assistant, through the Model Context Protocol.

What it does. Once connected, Claude can work with the client's real data through a set of scoped tools: look up contacts, summarise sales, draft and prepare campaigns, inspect products and more. Write actions are guarded so nothing destructive happens silently.

Connecting. In Claude, add the workspace as a connector using the client's app URL. The connection runs through a standard OAuth flow on the client's own domain: sign in, approve the scopes, done. The connection appears under Connected apps in the workspace settings, where it can be revoked at any time.

Scopes and safety. Tools are scoped to the connected workspace only. Revoking the connection in settings cuts access immediately.

Good first uses

  • "Summarise my sales this month and compare to last month."
  • "Find contacts who bought the flagship course but never joined the community."
  • "Draft a re-engagement email to contacts inactive for 60 days."

The connector is per workspace, so each of your clients decides for themselves whether to use it.
