Domain verification is DNS plus patience. When it stalls, it is almost always one of these:

The record is not exactly right. Compare character by character against what the domain settings screen shows. Common misses: a trailing space pasted with the value, the record added for the wrong host, for example the root instead of www, or the record type wrong.

The registrar auto-appends the domain. Some DNS panels append your domain to whatever host you type, turning app into app.yourdomain.com.yourdomain.com. If the panel shows the doubled value, enter just the short host.

Propagation has not finished. DNS changes take minutes to a day depending on the provider and the previous record's time-to-live. Check the record with a public DNS lookup tool; if the value is not visible publicly yet, the platform cannot see it either.

A conflicting old record. An existing record on the same host, for example an old A record where a CNAME must go, blocks the new one. Remove the old record first.

Cloudflare proxying. If the DNS provider proxies records, the orange cloud in Cloudflare, verification can fail. Set the record to DNS-only until verified.
