Page editor basics

Click Customize on any page row, or the palette icon, to open the builder. The screen has three parts: a panel on the left, the canvas in the middle, and a toolbar across the top.

The elements panel. This is where you add things. At the top is a search box (Search elements…), then four structure presets for 1, 2, 3 and 4 columns, then the widget tiles grouped as Layout, Basic, General, Media, Conversion and Saved. Drag a tile onto the canvas or just click it to insert it at the current position. See The widget library for what each one does.

Structure. Pages are built from containers. A structure preset drops in a container with the number of side by side columns you picked, and containers can nest inside each other. Widgets live inside containers.

The settings panel. Select anything on the canvas and the left panel switches to its settings, with three tabs:

• Content for the actual text, images, links and items.
• Style for the look. Many controls have Normal and Hover sub-tabs.
• Advanced, which is identical on every element: Margin and Padding, Width, Position, Background and Border, Box shadow, entrance animation, Sticky, Hide on desktop / tablet / mobile, plus CSS ID, CSS classes, custom CSS and custom attributes.

Controls marked responsive have a small device switch, so a size can differ per breakpoint.

The toolbar. From left to right: Back, Elements, Templates, a page switcher dropdown, Site settings, Page settings, Navigator, Undo, Redo, the Desktop / Tablet / Mobile buttons, Preview, and the Publish button with a chevron for Save draft, Save as template and View page.

Navigator opens a collapsible tree of the whole page. Click a row to select it, drag to reorder, use the eye to hide it on every device, and the bin to delete.

Page settings holds the page title, SEO title, SEO description and the Header & Footer choice. Site settings holds your global colours and fonts, which cascade into every page you have already saved.

Saving. The builder autosaves about 0.7 seconds after you stop, and the toolbar shows Saving… then All changes saved. If a save fails it retries automatically. Closing the tab with unsaved work warns you first.

Shortcuts: Cmd/Ctrl+Z undo, Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+Y redo, Cmd/Ctrl+S save now, Cmd/Ctrl+C copy, Cmd/Ctrl+V paste, Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+V paste style only, Cmd/Ctrl+D duplicate, Delete to remove, Esc to deselect.

Templates and saved blocks. The Templates button opens the same full-page gallery you saw when creating the page, with Insert at end or Replace page on each card. Replacing is undoable. Save as template stores the current page under Saved in the elements panel so you can drop it into any other page.
